Monument to Emilio Estrada Carmona

 

History

The monument pays tribute to the former Ecuadorian President Emilio Antonio Estrada Carmona, born in Quito on May 28, 1955 and died on December 21, 1911, while he exercised his presidential office. His mandate started on September 1, 1911 until his death from heart failure.

The bust is the work of sculptor Paul Amadeus Palacio and was inaugurated on December 21, 2005.

 

Attractions

The 2.80 meters height structure shows Estrada's full body, dresses elegantly with his presidential sash on his chest, a book in his right hand and a cane in his left hand.
