The restaurant has been located at its existing place, Hurtado Street between Machala Avenue and Antepara Street, for more than 65 years. The current owner, Belgica Hojas, together with her partners, prepares the soup daily.
The work at the restaurant starts early in the morning with the preparation of the rice stuffing for the sausage; each ingredient is carefully chosen since everything must be fresh.
Once the dish is ready is served hot accompanied with whatever the customer prefers; could be cooked green plantain, chifles (sliced fried green plantain), or bread, and the mandatory lemon and hot pepper.
Belgica only trusts her flavor and seasoning so she doesn’t plan to open any branches of her restaurant. For its quality and good service the place was one of the 30 huecas that were part of the Raices International Gastronomic Fair
Llulan opens Tuesdays to Sundays from 08h00 to 14h00.
