Carlos Julio Arosemena Monroy, born on August 24, 1919 and died on March 5, 2004, exercised the presidency from November 9, 1961, when the Congress, appointed him until July 11, 1963, when he was ousted by the military who accused him of “drunkenness”. During his mandate, telecommunications were modernized, the construction of roads started, the aviation company Tame was created, the thirteenth salary was established and many laws were issued for real social benefit.
