Monumento a Otto Arosemena Gómez


Otto Arosemena Gomez was born on July 19, 1925 and died on April 20, 1984 and was appointed president of the country by the National Assembly on November 16, 1966, culminating his period on August 31, 1968.

Among his main works, stand out the creation of the Ministry of Public Health, the construction of the National Unity Bridge and several roads; the extension of the works in the port of Manta, the electrification of Manabi and the Santa Elena peninsula and also the rehabilitation of the railway Quito-Guayaquil.
