Parque Víctor Emilio Estrada



 The Victor Emilio Esrtrada better known as Urdesa Park, has its name in honor to the banker, entrepreneur and politician Victor Emilio Estrada Sciaccaluga (son of the ex-president Emilio Estrada Carmona), born in Guayaquil, May 22nd of 1891 and deceased on February 21st of 1954.

Estrada was a very important character in the Ecuadorian history, for being the administrator for the financial administration that brought the banking to the peak in his time. 

The park is located in a zone that in the course of the years has become in one of the most commercial zones of the city, a wide touristic offer, delivering at the time restoration sites and leisure activities to the Guyaquileños.


 Because of its equipment, this park offer itself to do a variety of recreational activities as hikes, outdoor exercises, flora observation, and well is surrounded for numerous plants species that harmoniously decorate the surroundings.

The park has the monument to Victor Emilio Estrada, children’s game, gym equipment, a small stage for events, walking paths, gazebo, and artificial pond with fishes.

Besides there are birds such as doves, garrapateros birds, paraqueets, and viviñas, there are also amphibians like toads, lizards and iguanas.
