It is a traditional place to eat pork sandwiches, which was open more than 50 years ago and currently is run by the third generation of the family.
Jorge Perez is the current owner, who learnt the recipe from his mother. The place started as a kiosk located in Boyaca and Velez streets, where Jorge’s grandparents were well known by the people that ate a sandwich every time they passed by.
Bears the name of Don Pepe in honor of the father of Jorge whose name was Jose but was better known as Pepe. The business started to grow and now has a place located in Ximena and Padre Solano streets. For its quality and good service, it was part of the huecas that participated in the Raices International Gastronomic Fair.
Jorge Perez has kept the tradition of serving the pork in a bun with pickled onion.
